Darien Man Arrested On 3 Warrants: Cops

In another case, packages were stolen from a front porch in a Darien neighborhood, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:

Warrants

  • Chinnawut Ngeunjuntr, 71, of Darien, was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the 7300 block of Sunrise Avenue on three DuPage County warrants charging failure to appear in court. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • Two packages left at the front door of a house in the 1100 block of Chalet Drive were stolen between noon and 4 p.m. Aug. 24. The items were valued at $272.

Attempted burglary

  • Suspects tried to gain access to a locked car Aug. 22 at Carriage Greens Country Club, 8700 Carriage Green Drive. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Damage

  • A rock was used to crack a windshield of a bus in the bus parking area between noon Aug. 22 and 6:30 a.m. Aug. 24 in the 900 block of 67th Street. The loss was estimated at $200.

Driving violations

  • Ramon Enriquez Salto, 27, of Chicago, was cited about 11 a.m. Saturday on 75th Street on charges of no valid driver's license, no valid registration, no safety test, no insurance and overweight on registration. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
