Darien Man Arrested On Disorderly Conduct Charge

In another case, a Darien man faces a DUI charge after driving on the wrong side of the road, police said.

Disorderly conduct

  • A Darien man who lives in the 7600 block of Brookhaven Avenue was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Monday on a disorderly conduct charge. The incident occurred at his house, police said. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

  • FedEx dropped off a package containing a Samsung phone Tuesday at a residence in the 2300 block of Sokol Court. The phone, valued at $189, was stolen.

DUI

  • A 42-year-old Darien man who lives in the 1600 block of 71st Street was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday on charges of DUI, having no valid driver's license, driving an uninsured car, driving on the wrong side of the road and driving with unsafe tires. Police said an officer saw the man driving on the wrong side of the road on Farmingdale Drive. The man was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • A 36-year-old Calumet City man was arrested about 3 a.m. Friday on charges of DUI, transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage. An officer saw Dent's car straddling the broken white lane line on Cass Avenue near Interstate 55, police said. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
