Darien Man Arrested On Domestic Battery Charge
Another local man was charged with DUI after an officer saw him cross the lane boundary several times, police said.

DARIEN, IL – In the last few days, Darien police handled cases involving domestic battery, retail theft and DUI. Here is information from the latest police reports:
Domestic battery
- A 26-year-old Darien man who lives in the 8300 block of Woodland Drive was arrested about 1 p.m. Saturday at his home on a domestic battery charge. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

- A 56-year-old man who lives in the 1500 block of Pinehurst Drive was arrested about 11 p.m. Saturday at Cass Avenue and 71st Street on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and driving an uninsured car. Police said an officer saw the man crossing over the lane boundary several times. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Retail theft
- A 45-year-old Darien woman who lives in the 900 block of North Frontage Road was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on charges of retail theft and obstructing identification. Police said they were called about a woman in a pink top seen on video under-ringing items at the self-checkout counter.
