Darien Man Arrested On DUI Charge

In another case, marijuana and cash were reported stolen, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:

DUI

  • A man who lives in the 700 block of Walnut Drive in Darien was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Sunday on charges of DUI, possession of an open bottle of liquor, failure to signal, improper turn at an intersection and disobeying a traffic control device. Police said he was seen swerving his car in the 7300 block of Cass Avenue. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Drug theft

  • Someone stole marijuana and cash Thursday from a room between 2:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Thursday from a room at Extended Stay America hotel, 2345 Sokol Court. The loss was estimated at $210.

Damage

  • A woman's boyfriend shattered her passenger side window during an argument about 1:30 a.m. Sunday at Extended Stay America hotel, 2345 Sokol Court. She did not want to press charges for criminal damage.

  • A hit-and-run crash occurred about 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Shell gas station 8226 Cass Ave. The victim's car sustained a flat tire and damage to the rear passenger side. The offending car was a tan older model Toyota Camry.
