Darien Man Charged With Battery: Cops

In another case, a man was sent to jail after being accused of retail theft, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

  • Paul Lancor, 62, of Darien, was arrested about 6 p.m. Feb. 15 in the 8300 block of Woodland Drive, where he lives, on a charge of battery. He was released and given a date to appear in court. Patch has filed a public records request for more information.
  • Samer M. Aqel, 49, of Burbank, was arrested about 10 p.m. Friday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of retail theft. Police said Aqel was seen not scanning a number of items in the self-checkout aisle. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
