Darien Man Charged With Domestic Battery

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:
Domestic battery
- A 30-year-old man who lives in the 8300 block of Woodland Drive in Darien was arrested about 8 p.m. Sunday at his house on a charge of domestic battery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

- A 28-year-old man who lives in the 1100 block of Plainfield Road in Darien was arrested about 5 p.m. Thursday at his home on a charge of violating his pretrial release. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
DUI
- A 34-year-old Joliet man was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday at 75th Street and Lyman Avenue on charges of DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, disobeying a traffic signal and having an expired registration. Police said an officer saw the man make a U-turn at 75th Street and Lemont Road and run a stoplight in the process. The man was released and given a date to appear in court.
Attempted theft

- Suspects tried to remove a car from a parking lot about 5:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of 75th Street. The crime was listed as an attempted motor vehicle theft.
