Darien Man Charged in Domestic, Had Warrant: Cops
Local police took two reports of porch piracy in the last few days.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police on Thursday released their latest blotter. Here is information from the reports:
Domestic battery
- Tyran Greer, 32, of Darien, was arrested about 7 a.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of Sequoia Lane on a charge of domestic battery and on a DuPage County warrant on a charge of possession of marijuana. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Damage

- Darien police received a call Oct. 9 about a hit-and-run crash in which a driver damaged a fence near Darien Lake Condominiums on Plainfield Road, west of Bailey Road. This item was not in Darien's weekly blotter. Patch asked the police about it after getting a reader tip.
Porch piracy
- A package was stolen between 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Oct. 17 on a front doorstep in the 1500 block of Lakeview Drive. No estimated loss was given.
- A package was stolen Oct. 15 from a front doorstep. The police did not say where it occurred. The loss was $204. The theft was reported six days later.
Warrant

- Phillip Monsivais, 33, of Downers Grove, was arrested Oct. 18 on a DuPage County warrant for failure to appear in court on a DUI charge. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
