Darien Man Dies In Work Accident: Coroner
He was apparently struck by a falling object in an "industrial mishap," agency says.
DARIEN, IL — A Darien man was killed in a work accident over the weekend on the railroad south of Joliet, authorities said Monday.
Artur Englart, 49, was pronounced dead about 11 a.m. Saturday in Amita St. Joseph Medical Center's emergency room in Joliet, according to a news release from the Will County Coroner's Office.
Englart was working at the Union Pacific railway at 2500 Centerpoint Way in Elwood when he was apparently struck by a falling object, the release said. Joliet police and OSHA are investigating.

According to the coroner, a preliminary autopsy showed multiple injuries because of an "industrial mishap." The final cause and manner of death will be determined later, the coroner said.
