Darien Man Faces 2 Domestic Battery Counts: Cops

In another case, a Darien man resting in his car was charged with DUI, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the latest reports:

Domestic battery

  • A 44-year-old Darien man who lives at the Extended Stay America hotel, 2345 Sokol Court, was arrested about 11:20 a.m. Friday at his home on two counts of domestic battery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

DUI

  • A 30-year-old Joliet man was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Saturday on charges of DUI and stopping, standing or parking in the roadway. Police said the man was resting his head on the console near Cass Avenue and 75th Street, with his car partially obstructing a lane on Cass. He was given a court date and released.

Suspended license

  • A 67-year-old Darien man who lives in the 3300 block of Drover Lane was cited about 3 p.m. Sunday at 75th Street and Farmingdale Drive on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving an uninsured car, and transportation of open alcohol. He was given a court date and released.
