Darien Man Faces DUI Charge After Driving Into Oncoming Traffic: Cops

In another case, people threw eggs and did other damage to a house, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter on Thursday. Here is information from the reports:

DUI

  • A 36-year-old Darien man who lives in the 7200 block of Western Avenue was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday on charges of DUI, speeding, improper passing and improper lane usage. Police said an officer saw the man speeding north on Lemont Road at Interstate 55 and passing cars by driving into oncoming traffic. The man was given a court date and then released.

  • People threw eggs Saturday at a garage door in the 7100 block of Summit Road. Damage was also found to the front window, the back of the home and the roof. The damage was estimated at $200.
