Darien Man Faces DUI Charge After Weaving: Cops

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

DUI

• A 53-year-old Darien man who lives in the 3400 block of Brewer Road was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Saturday at 83rd Street and Grandview Avenue on charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license and improper lane usage. Police said an officer saw the man cross the center lane boundary eight times. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Retail theft

• A 36-year-old woman and a 23-year-old woman, both of Chicago, were arrested about 9 p.m. Sunday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on retail theft charges. An employee saw the women put cheaper price tags on meat items, and video showed them failing to scan items at the self-checkout aisle, police said. They were released and given a date to appear in court.
• A 36-year-old man and a 35-year-old man, both of Woodridge, were arrested about 4 p.m. Monday at Walmart, 7189 75th St., on retail theft charges. The pair did not scan all items at the self-checkout aisle, police said. They left in a blue GMC SUV and headed east on 75th Street. Officers stopped the men while they were going south on Interstate 55 west of Cass Avenue. They were released and given a date to appear in court.

Warrants

• A 22-year-old Bolingbrook woman was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Friday on two warrants and charges of driving with a revoked license and driving an uninsured car. She was issued a warning for disobeying a traffic control device. An officer saw the woman make a U-turn at Lemont Road and 97th Street. The officer stopped her at the ramp to Interstate 55.
