Darien Man Flees Local Officer: Report

The officer was trying to stop the resident for speeding, police said.

DARIEN, IL – A Darien man who was speeding on a local street last week tried to flee an officer, according to a police report.

Antonio Williams, 23, who lives in the 7400 block of Brookdale Drive, was charged with fleeing and eluding an officer, speeding, failing to carry a driver's license and driving an uninsured vehicle.

He was clocked speeding 64 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 8800 block of Cass Avenue, police said. It happened about 10 a.m. July 19.

Williams was released and given a date to appear in court.
