According to the report, the man said he was at the Dry Dock Inn bar in Darien drinking with some friends. While there, he received a phone call from Malik's phone, with a man asking him for his name and badge number, the report said.
The Darien resident said he was not a police officer. The man then told the resident that he was going to shoot up his house, police said.
The resident said Malik then called to harass him, according to the report. He said he had received repeated text messages from Malik.
An officer uploaded the messages, but saw nothing threatening or harassing, just general conversation, police said.
In a later interview, Malik told the officer that the Darien man was constantly calling and texting her about getting back together. She admitted she had been in communication with the man since she bonded out of jail, but she said the man started all the conversations, police said.
The officer told Malik that she was barred by the conditions of her bond from communicating with the man, regardless of who started the conversation.
Malik was later charged with violating her bail bond.
