Darien Man's Body Found In Pond: Coroner

DARIEN, IL — Authorities have identified the body found Sunday morning in a retention pond in Westmont.

The man was John J. Lynch, 64, of Darien, according to the DuPage County Coroner's Office.

Lynch's body was found in a car submerged in the pond outside an office building at 999 Oakmont Plaza, the coroner's office said.

An autopsy and toxicology were performed by the coroner's office Monday, with the cause and manner of death not conclusive at this time, the office said.

Westmont police are continuing their investigation, the coroner's office said.
