Darien Parkway Tree Trimming Begins in December

The City of Darien will conduct its annual parkway tree trimming program beginning in December in the following subdivisions:

• Farmingdale Village
• Woodmere
• Tara Hill
• Carriage Green #4
• Carriage Hill
• Darien Woods
• Waterfall Glen

This year’s program offers residents contract pricing for private property tree trimming, as well–at a cost of $65 per tree in the front yard and $140 per tree in the back yard. 

The contract also includes unit pricing for tree removal and stump grinding on private property in the city. Tree removal costs $28 per diameter inch for front-yard trees, and $40 per diameter inch for back-yard trees. Stump grinding costs $50 for the front yard and $75 for the back yard.
