Darien Plans 4th Of July Parade

DARIEN, IL — The 48th annual 4th of July parade will once again be held in Darien this year. The 48th parade will line up in the Jewel parking lot at 75th and Cass Avenue, and is presented by the Darien Lions Club, the City of Darien, Darien Police Department, Darien Public Works Department and other supporting organizations.

Spectators can line the sides of the streets on the public easement.According to the Lions Club, the parade will go north on Cass to 71st Street, and then at 71st Street the parade will head east until Clarendon Hills Road. At Clarendon Hills road, the parade will then go south toward the end point at Hinsdale South High School.

The parade will step off at 9:30 a.m. on July 4. The Lions Club is seeking organizations and groups or businesses to participate in the parade. You can march or prepare a float to come out and celebrate the country and community.
