Darien Pointe Buildings May be Complete in June

The clock tower in Darien Pointe Park is still waiting for its timepiece.

The construction of strip malls at Darien Pointe has been delayed by the harsh winter weather, but they should be complete in four months, Dan Gombac, director of municipal services, told the Chicago Tribune.

The fountain and paver bricks in Darien Pointe Park — on the northeast corner of Cass Avenue and Plainfield Road — were installed in December. The clock tower is still waiting for its timepiece.

The project is predicted to be “a significant improvement to the corner, and a dynamic focal point for what is considered by most residents as the ’Town Center” of Darien,’” according to city news.
