Darien Police Respond To Gunfire Report
Chief says officers found nothing in their investigation.
DARIEN, IL — Darien police responded to a report of gunfire about 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of Kingery and Sunrise Avenue, Darien Police Chief Greg Thomas said in an email to Patch on Monday morning. Officers, however, found nothing in their investigation, including shell casings, anything hit by the gunfire or witnesses, Thomas said.
In an email Sunday, a resident on Janet Avenue, more than a mile away, told Patch that she heard gunfire and then sirens Saturday night. But she put the time of the noise at 10:30 p.m. In a later email, she said her husband remembered two instances about 9:30 a.m. or so.
