The City of Darien Police Department is accepting applications for a part-time community service officer.
This is a 19 hour per week position with no additional benefits. Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. (excludes holidays) and one weekday shift from 1 - 4 pm.

The part-time community service officer is a non-sworn employee, responsible for providing general support for the police department and service to residents through community policing.

The officer enforces the ordinances of the city, including parking, animal complaints and other city codes, along with providing general assistance to citizens and the community. The officer also fulfills the many and varied requests from administration, detectives and office personnel for business-related errands outside of the police facility.
