Darien Rotary Club - Backpack Food Program. COVID didn't stop hunger, nor did it stop the Darien Rotary Club. Due to COVID restrictions, we couldn't ask for volunteers, but a TEAM of dedicated Rotarians assembled to pack food last night.
We purchased the food from Jewel on Cass and 75th, who we are now directly working with as our supplier. We broke down the boxes , sorted, packed, and loaded bags for distribution for... 165 kids in Darien and Willowbrook.
This will be enough bags to provide thoes children with 5 Weekends of Food!
