Darien Taking Orders For Parkway Tree Planting Program
Darien residents who want a parkway tree can order one through the city's planting program.

DARIEN, IL — Darien residents who would like a tree in their parkway can participate in the 2017 Parkway Tree Planting Program. According to the city newsletter, the city is now taking orders for the program, which is a 50/50 cost share between Darien and the resident.
The cost includes the purchase, planting, mulching and one year guarantee of the trees, according to the newsletter. Trees available for purchase include: American Linden, Norway Maple, Honeylocust Skyline, Red Maple, Chanticleer Pear, Freeman Maple and Sugar Maple.
