Darien Walmart Worker Charged With Theft: Police
In another case, a man was arrested after he was seen slashing tires, according to a report.

DARIEN, IL – In the last few days, Darien police handled cases involving retail theft, tire slashing, a stolen catalytic converter, a DUI, a gun violation and a warrant. Here is information from the latest Darien police reports:
Retail theft
- Danietra Allen, 21, of Chicago, was cited about 5 p.m. April 24 at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of retail theft. Police said Allen was an employee who tried to return stolen items for cash. She was released and given a date to appear in court.

- Raymond Rosario, 33, of Evanston, was arrested about 3 p.m. April 26 in the 900 block of Belair Drive on charges of criminal damage to property and criminal trespass to land after notice that entry is forbidden. Police said Rosario slashed a car's tires with a knife. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Converter theft
- A catalytic converter was stolen overnight April 23 from a car in the 8400 block of Captons Lane. The loss was estimated at $250.
DUI

- Brittany Murphy, 36, of Orland Hills, was arrested about 3 a.m. Friday on 71st Street on a charge of DUI. Police said she veered over the center lane markers on 75th Street. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
Violating an order of protection
- Mack Brown III, 29, who is living at the Extended Stay America hotel, 2345 Sokol Drive in Darien, was arrested about 10 a.m. Friday on a DuPage County warrant charging failure to appear in court and on a charge of violating an order of protection. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Gun charge
- David Augustine, 22, of Naperville, was arrested about 9 a.m. Sunday at Plainfield Road and Cass Avenue on charges of unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana and speeding. Police said he was speeding 61 mph in a 40 mph zone. An officer found a gun with an extended magazine under the driver's seat. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Warrant
- Jeffrey Oakes, 26, of Chicago Ridge, was arrested on a Darien Police Department warrant charging driving with a revoked license and possessing a controlled substance. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
