Darien Woman Arrested In Walmart Fight: Cops
In another case, a Darien man was accused of failure to notify in a hit-and-run crash.
DARIEN, IL — Last week, Darien police handled cases involving a battery at Walmart, a hit-and-run crash, an attempted burglary, shoplifting, a broken window and DUIs. Here is information from the latest Darien police reports:
Walmart Battery
- Yolanda Leonard, 55, of Darien, was arrested about 1 p.m. Aug. 4 at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of battery. Police responded to a fight that resulted from an accident. She was released and given a date to appear in court.

- Robert Monreal, 70, of Darien, was cited about 1:30 p.m. in the 7500 block of Farmingdale Drive on charges of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to give information to a car owner after striking an unattended vehicle. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Attempted burglary
- An attempted burglary took place overnight Saturday at Dry Dock Inn, 1125 N. Frontage Road. An employee showed up at 6 a.m. Sunday and saw pry marks on the door jamb on the southwest side of the building. The loss was estimated at $500 for the damaged door.

- Litrice Townes, 46, of Woodridge, was cited about 8:30 a.m. Aug. 4 at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of retail theft. He was seen scanning items and leaving the store without making payment. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Broken window
- An officer saw that a car's window was broken about 6:30 a.m. Friday at WoodSpring Suites, 951 N. Frontage Road. The owner confirmed the damage to the window was the result of a landscape brick.
Plants removed
- Plants were removed from a residence on June 27 or June 28 in the 8900 block of Kilkenny Drive. The loss was estimated at $50. The report was filed Aug. 2.
DUI
- Kris Saucedo, 38, of Willow Springs, was arrested about 2 a.m. Friday on 75th Street near Cass Avenue on charges of DUI, improper lane usage, disobeying a traffic control device and failure to signal when required. An officer saw Saucedo swerve from the left lane to the right lane. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Vilma Vaiciene, 60, of Palos Hills, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Saturday on 75th Street on charges of DUI, resisting or obstructing a police officer, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
Driving violations
- Sasa Mastrapovic, 26, of Darien, was cited about 1:30 a.m. Saturday on Plainfield Road on charges of no valid driver's license and improper lane usage. Mastrapovic was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Angelo Roberts, 29, of Westmont, was cited about 2:30 p.m. Aug. 5 on 67th Street on charges of driving with a revoked license and speeding. He was clocked speeding 47 mph in a 25 mph zone. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Alissia Waters, 27, of Joliet, was cited about 7 a.m. Aug. 2 in the 6800 block of Route 83 on charges of driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper window tinting and expired registration. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
