Darien Woman Faces Domestic Charges Again: Cops

She was charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault, police said.

DARIEN, IL – For the second time, a Darien woman is facing charges in a domestic disturbance, police said.

About 7 p.m. Saturday, Darien police charged Shelly Stirling, 49, with domestic battery and aggravated assault. The incident was in the 8400 block of Creekside Lane, police said.

Last November, Stirling was charged with domestic battery at the same address, police said. In both cases, she was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

In the November case, DuPage County prosecutors dropped the charge because they had no complaining witness, according to court records.
