Darien Woman Wanted On Prostitution Warrant: Cops
In another case, a woman was accused of domestic battery at a Darien restaurant, police said.

DARIEN, IL – In the last few days, Darien police handled cases involving a prostitution warrant, domestic battery, DUI, battery, car burglary and disorderly conduct. Here is information from the latest Darien police reports:
Prostitution
- A 34-year-old Darien woman who lives at WoodSpring Suites, 951 N. Frontage Road, was arrested about 9 p.m. Saturday at the hotel on a DuPage County warrant charging prostitution. Police were called to the hotel for a domestic disturbance. The woman was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Domestic battery

- A 27-year-old Chicago woman was arrested about 9 p.m. Saturday at Home Run Inn Pizza, 7521 Lemont Road, on a charge of domestic battery. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
DUI
- A 26-year-old Westmont man was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Thursday on charges of DUI, speeding, driving the wrong way on a divided highway and driving an uninsured car. Police said the man was speeding 54 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 8100 block of Cass Avenue. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- A 40-year-old Plainfield man was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Friday on a DUI charge. An officer saw the man sleeping in a running car at a gas pump. A gas station employee said the car had been there for more than a half hour.
- A 34-year-old Aurora man was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday on charges of DUI and improper lane usage. The man crossed a lane boundary line and swerved right and left while approaching Cass Avenue. He then made a right turn and struck a curb while driving into the entrance of the Ray O'Herron store, 1600 75th St. in Downers Grove.

- A 32-year-old Calumet City woman was arrested about 11 p.m. Friday on a Cook County warrant charging battery. An officer saw the woman walking west across Cass Avenue without the right-of-way, police said. The officer activated emergency lights to slow down traffic to prevent a car from crashing into the woman. He found out she had a warrant after he checked her identity. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Car burglary
- Someone pushed a car window down and stole a purse with $100 inside between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday at Hinsdale South High School.
Disorderly conduct
- Police were called to a crash about 6:30 p.m. Thursday at 75th Street and Cass Avenue. One of the drivers drove away and was last seen headed north on Cass Avenue. A 27-year-old Westmont man was arrested on charges of leaving the scene of an accident, failure to yield from a private drive and driving with a revoked license. A passenger, a 22-year-old Darien man who lives in the 7300 block of Poplar Lane, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct involving a false crime report and obstructing identification. They were released and given dates to appear in court.
