Darien Woman's Club Celebrates YOUTH ART MONTH

The 2024 Creative Youth Art Fair was held Sunday, February 25th, 2024

Since 1974, the Darien Woman’s Club has sponsored the Creative Youth Art Fair to celebrate the young creative energy in our community and the importance of Art in our lives. This free event exhibits various types of art media created by young people in the Darien area. 2024 was our 48th Art Fair - held annually since 1988. There were 461 Art Entries from 23 area schools and prized were awarded to each division winner. To see the faces of the children and hear the praise of the adults, validated the reasons the club has supported this event for so many years. It is a service to the students in the community, Art Education and Art Educators. Each year families return to the event more and more!

Please take a look at our website's Art page for some Highlights:

“What is the point of art? To make a point. Art can show you something you have never seen before.”

― J.r. Rim

During the month of March, in recognition of National Youth Art Month, the club is exhibiting many of the Art Fair’s artists and the Division Winners at the Indian Prairie Public Library on both the 1st and 2nd floors during regular business hours. We hope you will also have a chance to visit the library and see some amazing perspectives of life through a child's eyes!
