Darien Youth Club (DYC) Part -Time Travel Baseball Tryouts

DYC part-time travel baseball tryouts this Saturday October 3rd.

Darien Youth Club (DYC) Travel Baseball
Tryout Dates: Saturday, October 3rd
Location: Tryouts will be held at the DYC Sportscore located behind Eisenhower Jr. High -
1410 W 75th Street, Darien IL 60561
Age Groups: 9U - 10U, 10/3 at 10:00AM to 11:30AM
11U -12U, 10/3 at 11:30AM to 1:00PM
13U - 14U, 10/3 at 1:00PM to 2:00PM
Make Up Date: Sunday October 4th Schedule, 11:00AM to 1:00PM
This date is only for players that cannot make Saturdays’ tryout; please contact Travel Director
at dariendemons@gmail.com to secure a make-up time in advance.
About The Darien Travel Program:
The DYC Travel Baseball program is a part time travel program that coincides with the same
months as the DYC in house baseball program. Games are primarily May and June with one to
two summer tournaments
The focus of DYC Travel Baseball is to work with local experts/instructors to further enhance the
skill set of the coaches and the respective players, so the teams can compete at a high level and
enjoy themselves doing so.
The DYC Travel Baseball program is looking for the kids that really like to play baseball and want
to get better, and the parents that support that effort. .
All participants on the travel team must first and foremost sign up and participate in DYC’s in
house program.
Travel Games: The team plays 10 league games against other in house travel teams throughout Chicagoland in
the CLSB - http://www.clsunball.com/index.cfm?page=home .
50% of the games are home games at Eisenhower Junior High in Darien.
Travel Teams also participate in travel tournaments and non-conference games
Practices and Training: DYC Travel participants will receive a membership The Perfect Swing for unlimited cage access

DYC Travel participants get a comprehensive two month training program in March and April
utilizing The Perfect Swing’s indoor fields and specialized weekly instruction from there
seasoned instruction staff. .
DYC Travel participants are also strongly encouraged to join the DYC’s Winter Clinic program on
Saturday evenings for three hours in January to work on fundamentals with their teammates
and build comradery.
Practices during the season would primarily occur prior to Sunday games (hour prior to game
time), and an occasional Friday.
Program Costs: The budget for the entire year per player would be around $500.

Full Custom Uniforms, Helmets, Bags etc. to The Perfect Swing costs to field
maintenance/facility/umpire and game (and extra game) costs.
