DarienFest 2017: Schedule Of Events

DARIEN, IL — The 30th annual DarienFest is quickly approaching. The three-day festival will be held Sept. 8-10, according to Darien Chamber of Commerce's website. The festival will feature food, beer, wine, music and a business expo. The fifth annual Pet Parade and Darien's Got Talent will also take place. The event will be held at Darien Community Park, at 71st and Clarendon Hills Road.

The carnival will be open 6 to 10:30 p.m. Friday; 1 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday; and 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday. According to the Darien Chamber of Commerce website, the schedule of events is as follows:

Friday, Sept. 8

• 6 p.m., 30th annual DarienFest Opening Ceremony
• 6 p.m., Business Expo
• 6 p.m., Battle of the Adirondack Chairs
• 6:30 p.m., The Millenials will play
• 8:30 to 10:30 p.m., Hillbilly Rockstarz will play

Saturday, Sept. 9

• 1 p.m., Battle of the Adirondack Chairs
• 1 p.m., Business Expo
• 1 p.m., Fifth annual Pet Parade
• 2 p.m., Storytime and crafts sponsored by Indian Prairie Public Library
• 2 p.m., Fireworks for Buddha
• 4 p.m., DanceFest sponsored by Fred Astaire Dance Studio
• 6:30 p.m., Luxury Pork Band will play
• 8:30 to 10:30 p.m., Ides of March will play

Sunday, Sept. 10

• 1 p.m., Battle of the Adirondack Chairs
• 1 p.m., Business Expo
• 1 p.m., Darien's Got Talent
• 2 p.m., I 57 South will play
• 3:15 p.m., DLD Dance Studio Performance
• 4 p.m., Adirondack Chair Auction Closes
