'Distressed' Dogs Get Darien Man Charged
Police removed the dogs after seeing their situation.

DARIEN, IL – A Darien homeowner was charged last week after an officer saw that his two dogs were tethered together and entangled around a bush, police said.
The homeowner, a 30-year-old man who lives in the 7900 block of Adams Street, was charged with a misdemeanor violation of an owner's duties, police said.
About 9 p.m. March 19, a neighbor called police about dogs that had been barking for several hours. That's when an officer saw the dogs, which police described as "distressed."

No one was in the house at the time, so officers removed the dogs and took them to the Burr Ridge Veterinary Clinic, 8120 Cass Ave., police said.
About 11:30 p.m., the homeowner called police to report that his dogs had been stolen. He was then charged.
