Domestic Battery, DUI: Darien Blotter

Darien Police reports through Jan. 30.

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Burglary From Motor Vehicle

  • A victim reported she left her purse on the front seat, left the vehicle's door open and walked her grocery cart to the corral at Jewel, 7335 Cass Ave., at 11:10 a.m. Jan. 26. She noticed her purse was missing a short time later. The total loss is $110.
  • Multiple unlocked vehicles were entered in a parking lot at 2625 83rd St. sometime between 10 p.m. Jan. 28 and 8 a.m. Jan. 29. The total of items stolen from the vehicles were two pairs of designer sunglasses, one GPS and $10 in change. Total loss $165.

Criminal Damage To Property

  • An unknown suspect shot BBs into a front window and siding of the home in the 7800 block of Green Valley Court at 9 p.m. Jan. 25. The value of damage is $1,000.
  • A home in the 1000 block of Willow Lane was egged at 11:19 p.m. Jan. 26. The witness was unable to get a license plate and no suspects were apprehended. There was no damage to the front door.
  • A vehicle damaged a mailbox in the 3000 block of Hillside Lane at 9:58 p.m. Jan. 27. Officers had responded for a fight in progress, but participants dispersed, got into a vehicle and left prior to police arrival. The value of damage is $200.

Domestic Battery

  • Luke Trilla, 25, of the 7800 block of Dorchester Lane, was arrested at 9:05 a.m. Jan. 27 in Willowbrook for an incident that had occurred in the 7800 block of Dorchester. He was arrested on two counts of domestic battery and taken to DuPage County Jail.

DUI

  • Gustavo Arreola, 53, of Westmont, was arrested at 2:01 a.m. Jan. 28 in the 7500 block of Cass for two counts of DUI-alcohol and improper lane use. Arreola was processed and released with a court date of Feb. 27 at the DuPage County Judicial Center in Wheaton.
