DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:

Domestic battery

  • A 31-year-old woman who lives in the 7400 block of Brookdale Drive in Darien was arrested about 9 p.m. Oct 25 at her house on a charge of domestic battery. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • About 2:30 a.m. Saturday, a car was found with heavy front-end damage at Walgreens, 7516 Cass Ave. It appeared to have struck a light pole. Five hours later, the owner arrived at the police station and was cited on a charge of failing to report a crash and driving with a suspended registration. The 36-year-old man, who lives in the 7500 block of Farmingdale Drive in Darien, was released and given a date to appear in court.

Order of protection

  • A 65-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 5 p.m. Thursday on a charge of violating an order of protection. It was the result of an incident that occurred at WoodSprings Suites, 951 N. Frontage Road. The man was taken into custody by Wilmette police and then sent to the DuPage County Jail.

Retail theft

  • A 28-year-old Worth woman was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of retail theft. Police said the woman did not pay for 27 items while in the self-checkout aisle. Surveillance footage confirmed the theft. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
