Domestic Battery, Retail Theft: Darien Arrests

Darien Police reports through Feb. 14.

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

February 11

  • Martha Gassmann, 52, of Westmont, was arrested at 5:53 p.m. at WalMart, 2189 75th St., for retail theft. Gassmann attempted to conceal several items and leave without paying. She was arrested with a court date to be mailed.
  • Anatolijus Miseniovas, 63, of the 7200 block of Capitol Drive, was arrested at 8:55 p.m. in the 7200 block of Capitol Drive for two counts of domestic battery. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

February 12

  • Henry Corduan, 50, was arrested at 2:05 p.m. at Walmart, 2189 75th St., for retail theft. Corduan was seen removing boots and leaving the store without paying. Corduan was arrested for retail theft with court date to be mailed.
  • Joseph Balsamo, 76, of the 7200 block of Richard Road, was arrested at 5:50 p.m. at Walmart, 2189 75th St., for retail theft. Balsamo was seen not paying for several items in his order before he left the store. Balsamo was arrested for retail theft with a court date to be mailed.
