Domestic Battery, Retail Theft, No License: Darien Arrests

Darien Police reports through March 7.

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

February 28

  • David Stroud, 41, was arrested at 9:45 a.m. in the 7500 block of Adams Street for violation of order of protection. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.
  • A large amount of formula was stolen from Walmart, 2189 75th St., by an unknown man. He removed 10 cans of formula and exited the store without paying. The total loss is $178.

March 1

  • Adriane Wiley-Smith, 26, of Westmont, was arrested at 1:51 a.m. in the 7400 block of Cass Avenue for no valid driver's license and driving with only one headlight. Wiley- Smith was advised of her court date and released.

March 2

  • Brandon Moore, 22, of Willowbrook, was arrested at 8:34 p.m. at Walmart, 2189 75th St., for retail theft.

  • Kiestra Chandler, 26, of Downers Grove, was arrested at 5:38 p.m. at Walmart, 2189 75th St., for retail theft. Loss prevention observed Chandler only scan some of the items and then leave the store without paying for others.
  • Alvin Hunt, 38, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 10:06 p.m. in the 8900 block of Lemont Road for driving while license suspended, operating uninsured motor vehicle and expired plates. Hunt was
    processed and released with a court date of April 19 at Downer Grove Traffic Court.

March 5

  • Daniel Zeigler, 33, of Oak Lawn, was arrested at 1:47 p.m. at Lemont Road and I-55 for driving while license suspended, operating uninsured motor vehicle and expired plates. Zeigler was processed and released with a court date of April 19 at Downers Grove Traffic Court.

March 6

  • Jammie Slack, 44, of the 1300 block of Regency Grove Drive, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of Regency Grove Drive for two counts of domestic battery. Slack was taken to DuPage County Jail.
