Domestic Battery, Tools Stolen: Darien Arrests

Darien Police reports through Aug. 22.

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Aug. 15

  • Scott Brake, 51, of Wood Dale, was arrested at 2:04 a.m. in the 8100 block of Cass Avenue for DUI-drugs, speeding and improper lane use. Brake was processed and released with a court date of Sept. 18 at DuPage County Judicial Center.
  • Renatas Povilaitis, 48, of Downers Grove, and Erika Myrie, 42, of Plainfield, were arrested at 9:04 a.m. in the 7500 block of Cass Avenue for two counts of domestic battery each. Povilaitis and Myrie were processed and transported to DuPage County Jail.
  • Eggs were thrown at a home and a car in the 7800 block of Stratford Place at 11:22 p.m.

Aug. 18

  • A front passenger window on a car was broken and tools were stolen sometime between 9 p.m. Aug. 16 and 6:16 a.m. Aug. 17 in the 8400 block of Wilmette Avenue. The approximate loss is $1,169.

Aug. 21

  • Joseph Powell, 36, and Jacqueline Bisconti, 39, both of Woodridge, were arrested at 5:04 p.m. at Walmart, 2189 75th St., for retail theft. Powell and Bisconti were processed and released. Court dates at Downers Grove Traffic Court will be mailed.
