Domestic Violence, Excessive Speeding: Darien Cops
Darien woman is charged with two counts of domestic violence at hotel, report says.
DARIEN, IL — In recent days, Darien police have arrested people on charges of domestic battery, excessive speeding and other driving violations. Here is information from Darien police reports:
- Makayla Vaughn, 19, of Darien, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. July 24 at WoodSpring Suites, 951 N. Frontage Road, on two counts of domestic battery. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- Brayant Olquin, 20, of Downers Grove, was arrested about 9 p.m. July 24 in the 7800 block of Lemont Road on charges of driving with a suspended license, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, speeding more than 35 mph over the limit and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Gerardo Torrijos, 24, of Woodridge, was arrested about 10:30 a.m. July 26 near Cass Avenue and 67th Street on charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding more than 35 mph over the limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Moises Delgado, 20, of Bolingbrook, was cited shortly before midnight July 22 in the 3000 block of 87th Street on charges of no valid driver's license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Darryl Davis, 46, of Westmont, was cited at midnight July 24 on charges of driving with a suspended license, disobeying a traffic control device and speeding. According to a police report, Davis was in the right turn lane on 75th Street at Cass Avenue. Even though a pedestrian was crossing the road, Davis proceeded with a right turn. A sign posted says, "No turn on red when pedestrians present." He then sped on Cass.
- Charles Jonah, 77, of Darien, was arrested July 24 on a warrant. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
