Driver With Bleeding Passenger Arrested: Darien Police
Man speeds away from police after striking another car, report says.
DARIEN, IL — Earlier this month, Darien police received a call about a black Jeep dropping off a bleeding passenger and then heading east on 75th Street from Woodward Avenue, according to a police report. The Jeep was seen striking another car about 5 p.m. June 11. at 75th and Quincy Street in Willowbrook.
The driver was Mark Byndom Jr., 21, of Chicago, police said. He was charged with possession of more than 2,000 grams of marijuana, aggravated fleeing and eluding a police officer, driving with a suspended license. speeding more than 35 mph above the limit, disobeying a traffic signal, improperly passing on the left, failing to signal when required and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Byndom was taken to the DuPage County Jail. In an email to Patch, Police Chief Greg Thomas said police were unable to find the passenger.
