DUI Crash, Converter Thefts: Darien Cops
A man was arrested on a charge of aggravated DUI after getting into a crash, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:
DUI
- Jose Ovalle-Martinez, 36, of Joliet, was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Sept. 8 in the 8300 block of Woodland Drive on charges of aggravated DUI, driving with a revoked license, failure to yield turning left, failure to report an accident and driving an uninsured vehicle. Officers came into contact with Ovalle-Martinez after getting a report of a hit-and-run crash near Cass Avenue and Hinswood Drive. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Converter thefts

- Catalytic converters were stolen overnight Sept. 6 from two vans in the 1500 block of Lakeview Drive. The losses were estimated at $4,000.
Retail theft
- James Campbell, 29, of Woodridge, was cited about 8 a.m. Sunday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of retail theft. Police said Campbell was seen under-ringing merchandise in the self-checkout aisle. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Warrant

- Christian Craig, 24, of Bolingbrook, was arrested about 7 a.m. Sept. 8 on a warrant charging failure to appear in court. An officer came into contact with Craig after being called to the 9400 block of Waterfall Glen Boulevard for a suspicious car. Craig was released and given a date to appear in court.
Revoked license
- Alexis Burns, 21, of Lemont, was cited about 3:30 a.m. Sunday on charges of driving with a revoked license and speeding. Police said Burns was clocked speeding 66 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 8900 block of Lemont Road. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
Suspended license
- Jose Mejia, 27, of Roselle, was cited about 7:30 a.m. Sept. 8 at 75th Street and Nantucket Drive on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving with an expired license and unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
