DUI, Disorderly Conduct: Darien Police

A man drove nearly twice the speed limit in a construction zone, report says.

DARIEN, IL — In recent days, Darien police handled cases involving DUI, disorderly conduct and speeding in a construction zone. Here is information from the latest police reports:

  • Javari Williams, 21, of Willowbrook, was cited shortly after midnight Sept. 22 on 75th Street on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver and aggravated speeding in a construction zone (67 mph in a 35 mph zone). He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Thomas Kielbasa, 70, of Willowbrook, was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Sept. 24 at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on charges of disorderly conduct and damage to property. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Matthew Ravasz, 27, of Lemont, was arrested about 8 p.m. Sept. 24 at Lemont Road and 97th Street on two counts of DUI, driving too fast for conditions, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Police said they responded to a single-car crash that resulted in a downed light pole. Ravasz was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Gintaras Kudirka, 24, of Darien, was cited about 12:30 a.m. Sept. 27 in the 700 block of Plainfield Road on charges of no valid driver's license, operating an uninsured vehicle and speeding. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
