DUI, Domestic Battery, Speeding: Darien Arrests

Darien Police reports through July 11.

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

July 6

  • Christian Letto, 27, of Westmont, was arrested at 7:20 a.m. in the 500 block of 75th Street for speeding (64 in a 45 mph zone). Letto also had a warrant out of Will County for failing to appear in court. Letto was processed and released with a court date of Aug. 16 2018 at the Downers Grove Traffic Court.

July 7

  • Heather Worzalla, 35, of the 7600 block of Brookhaven Avenue, was arrested at 5:05 p.m. in the 7600 block of Brookhaven for two counts of domestic battery and one count of unlawful interference of the reporting of domestic violence. Worzalla was processed and transported to the DuPage County Jail.

July 8

  • Leatha Simmons, 51, of Romeoville, was arrested at 12:22 a.m. in the 8700 block of Lemont Road for no valid driver's license and operating a vehicle with expired registration. Simmons was processed and released with a court date of Aug. 16 at the Downers Grove Traffic Court.

July 10

  • Brandon Sanders, 31, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 3:28 a.m. in the 8100 block of Cass Avenue for obstructing identification, resisting a peace officer, DUI-alcohol, driving with a revoked license, speeding, illegal transportation of alcohol and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Sanders was transported to the DuPage County Courthouse on a Failure to Appear warrant.
