DUI, Porch Pirate: Darien Police Blotter

Woman caught on video stealing package on Portsmouth, police say.

DARIEN, IL — The latest Darien police blotter includes DUI arrests and a porch pirate caught on video. Here is information from the blotter:

  • Celeste Paris, 49, of Wheaton, was arrested Dec. 12 on charges of DUI and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Shortly before 2 p.m., officers were called to an accident in the parking lot of Dunkin' Donuts, 2445 75th St. Paris was given a date of Jan. 28 to appear in DuPage Cuonty Court.
  • Police responded to a hit-and-run crash shortly before 6 a.m. Dec. 14 at Walmart, 2189 Lemont Road. The victim told police that about 15 minutes earlier, a woman driving a black sedan hit the victim's car.
  • A woman was seen on video stealing a package from a porch in the 800 block of Portsmouth Drive about noon Dec. 14. The victim reported the theft the next morning. The loss was estimated at $35.
  • A car in the 8100 block of Cass Avenue was burglarized between 11:30 p.m. Dec. 14 and 1:30 a.m. Dec. 15. An electronic item was removed through a broken window.
  • Falestine Mansour, 20, of Palos Park, was arrested about 9:40 p.m. Dec. 16 on a charge of driving with a suspended license and a traffic offense. Mansour was told he would be mailed a date to appear in Downers Grove Traffic Court.
