DUI, Retail Theft: Darien Cops

A man who ran a stoplight was charged with DUI, among other offenses, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

DUI

  • A 23-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 9 p.m. Saturday in the 7500 block of Lemont Road on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and disobeying a traffic signal. Police said he did not stop for the red light at 83rd Street. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

  • A 32-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 3 p.m. Saturday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a retail theft charge. Officers were told the man was leaving in a maroon Buick heading east on 75th.

Impersonating

  • A 23-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 9 p.m. Saturday on a Will County warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of theft and impersonating an officer. Police said the man was speeding 63 mph in a 45 mph zone in the 600 block of 75th Street. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
