DUIs, Domestic Battery, License Suspended: Darien Arrests

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

July 18

• Kenneth Griffiths, 35, of Westmont, was arrested at 1:04 a.m. in the 7500 block of Cass Avenue for two counts of DUI and expired registration. Griffiths was processed and released with a court date of Aug. 14 at DuPage County Judicial Center.

July 19

• Denis Kocibelli, 34, of Lombard, was arrested at 6:57 p.m. at Oldfield and Lemont roads for a DuPage County failure to appear warrant, driving while license suspended, operating a vehicle with a revoked registration and operating a motor vehicle while using an electronic communication device. Kocibelli was processed and given a court date of Aug. 23 at Downers Grove Traffic Court and transported to DuPage County Judicial Center for the warrant.
• Juan Ortiz-Sanchez, 35, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 2:10 a.m. on southbound I-55 for DUI, driving while license suspended, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage. Ortiz-Sanchez was processed and given a court date of Aug. 28 at DuPage County Judicial Center.
• Bleachers were stolen from Westwood Park, 75th Street and Fairview Avenue, sometime between 4 p.m. Aug. 18 and 1 p.m. Aug. 19. The approximate value of bleachers was $200.

July 21

• Two tires from a truck tractor were stolen sometime between 1:45 p.m. July 20 and 12:10 a.m. July 21 from Extended Stay, 2345 Sokol Court. The approximate loss is $800.
• Ernesto Pinto, 28, of Westchester, was arrested at 75th and Adams streets for two counts of DUI and improper lighting. Pinto was processed and given a court date of Aug. 28 at DuPage County Judicial Center.
• Paul Villahermossa, 47, of Niles, was arrested at 1:55 p.m. in the 1500 block of Evergreen Lane for two counts of domestic battery. Villahermossa was processed and transported to DuPage County Jail.

July 22

• Adrian Arceo, 24, of the 6900 block of Brookbank, was arrested at 1:16 a.m. for driving while license suspended. Arceo was processed and released with a court date of Aug. 9 at Downers Grove
