DUIs And No Valid License: Darien Police Blotter

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Driving Under the Influence

• At 2:50 a.m. Feb. 24, a vehicle was observed striking a curb in the 8100 block of Cass Avenue. Carlos Hernandez, 41, Lemont, was arrested for driving under the influence and improper lane usage.
• At 12:45 a.m. Feb. 25, a vehicle was observed weaving in the 8100 block of Cass Avenue. James Becker, 46, Wheaton, was arrested for DUI and improper lane usage.
• At 2:11 a.m. Feb. 25, a vehicle was observed in the 6500 block of Cass Avenue traveling at a high rate of speed. Nikola Bacevski, 32, Westmont was arrested for DUI, speeding and improper lane usage.

No Valid Driver’s License

• At 5:04 p.m. Feb. 26, a vehicle was observed speeding at Bailey Road and Greenbriar Road. Khalil Powell, 21, Chicago, was arrested for no valid driver’s license and speeding.
