DUIs, Speeding In Work Zone: Darien Cops

One of the drunken drivers was seen speeding, report says.

DARIEN, IL — In recent days, Darien police arrested two men on DUI charges and another for a warrant, reports say. Here is information from the latest Darien police reports:

  • Kevin Radney, 37, of Chicago, was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Aug. 20 in the 7900 block of Lemont Road on charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license and speeding. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Jonathan Zamora, 23, of Downers Grove, was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Aug. 21 on Cass Avenue near Interstate 55 on a Darien warrant. He was stopped for speeding. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Melvin Wilson, 38, of Joliet, was arrested shortly before 1 p.m. Aug. 22 on charges of DUI and possession of open alcohol by a driver. An officer saw Wilson's car on the shoulder with its hazard lights on near Cass Avenue and Interstate 55. The officer stopped to do a well-being check and saw a container of vodka on the backseat and an open liquor beverage in the console cup holder. Wilson was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Irmantas Paliulis, 54, of Westmont, was cited about 10:30 a.m. Aug. 22 in the 1400 block of 75th Street on charges of driving with a revoked license and speeding in a construction work zone (no worker present). The suspect was released and given a date to appear in court.
