DuPage County Forest Preserve District To Hold Community Meeting In Darien
The DuPage County Forest Preserve District will hold a meeting at Indian Prairie Public Library on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m.

DARIEN, IL — The DuPage County Forest Preserve District is working on its first master plan in 25 years and it needs help from residents to decide on future projects. Throughout fall, Forest Preserve District officials have held community meetings throughout the county and the final one is set for Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. at Indian Prairie Public Library in Darien.
At the meeting, residents will be able to to give input about the potential projects slated for local forest preserves over the next five years. The Forest Preserve District is focusing heavily on public feedback to determine which projects to pursue. Select residents will also receive a survey in the mail requesting their opinion about the master plan.
The Forest Preserve District plans to randomly select some residents to take part in the survey, according to its website. Keep an eye on your mailbox or inbox starting Oct. 27 to see if you've been picked to submit a survey. The remainder of residents will be able to take the survey between Nov. 20 and Dec. 10.
