DuPage County Forest Preserve Holds Meetings For Five-Year Plan

The meeting in Darien will be held at the Indian Prairie Public Library on Oct. 30.

DARIEN, IL — The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County will hold community meetings for the public to give feedback on their five-year master plan. The forest preserve wants feedback on natural areas and educational and recreational programs at the county’s 62 forest preserves at six upcoming community meetings.

Several community meetings will be held including one in Darien at Indian Prairie Public Library. The meeting will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 30. Other meetings will be held throughout September and October in Itasca, Oak Brook, West Chicago, Naperville and Glen Ellyn.

In addition to these meetings, the Forest Preserve District is sending surveys to randomly selected DuPage County households via U.S. mail or email and collecting opinions online. Details and updates will be posted at dupageforest.org/master-plan.
