DuPage County Supports Bike To Work Week
DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin will ride his bike to work on Tuesday, June 13.

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin will ride his bike to work on Tuesday, June 13. Riders will meet at 7 a.m., and the dedication ceremony will begin at 8 a.m.
According to a release, the Chairman will ride from the gazebo at the Prairie Path and Spring Road in Elmhurst to the JTK Administration Building in Wheaton in support of Bike to Work week. During the ride, Cronin will be joined by DuPage County Board members, County employees and members of local bicycle groups.
According to a release, along the way, Cronin and riders will stop in Glen Ellyn for a ceremony to dedicate a bridge in honor of Paul and Jean Mooring. The bridge carries the Illinois Prairie Path over the East Branch DuPage River, located between I-355 and Hill Avenue. The Moorings were charter members of the Illinois Prairie Path nonprofit corporation and helped to build and maintain the Prairie Path. Paul Mooring also spent 21 years as president of the Prairie Path Corporation.
