Why Are You Seeking Office?

I've lived in Darien for more than 13 years. My children have gotten great educations here, and I have met and worked with some of the greatest people you'll ever meet.

My goal now is to meet and work with some of the greatest residents of Ward 5, to make Darien an even better place to live.

What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?

Number one priority: Listen to the thoughts, concerns, and ideas of the residents, and then act upon them.

If contested, what sets you apart from the other candidates?

Many of the residents that I've talked to do not know who their alderman is, or for that matter, what he does. The first thing I will do if elected will be to make sure everyone in my ward knows who I am, and where they can reach me.

What do you see as the top three goals for the City of Darien?

  • Attracting and retaining quality businesses
  • Maintaining the infrastructure of Darien
  • Keeping Darien a safe and healthy place

What can be done to continue the promotion of economic development in Darien?

Talking to residents and getting their ideas is number one. These are the people that will frequent those restaurants, and shop at those establishments the city chooses to develop. In my opinion, it takes the whole community to make a city great.

Is there an issue that's been discussed within the last year in Darien that you think should be revisited?

N/A
