Employee Steals From Customer At Walmart: Cops

Theft of Vehicle Parts or Accessories from Vehicle

At 8:35 a.m. on July 31 an officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Redondo Drive for a theft of vehicle parts. The victim advised sometime between July 30 at 4 p.m. and July 31 at 8 a.m unknown offender(s) removed the front passenger tire. The approximate loss is $500.

Theft $500 and Under

At 5:13 a.m. on Aug. 2 an officer was dispatched to Walmart, 2189 75th St. for an employee theft. Loss prevention advised on July 12 a customer approached staff relating he used the self-checkout machine but left $40 which was now gone. Loss prevention reviewed video which shows an employee taking the money. Brittany Russell, 22, of Joliet was arrested for theft $500 and under.
