Puppy Obedience Class Starting July 7

An AKC S.T.A.R. puppy class will be held at at the Darien park district community center.

Puppies should come with at least one adult handler.

The S.T.A.R. Puppy program was developed by the AKC and is designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a great start. This class is an incentive program for loving dog owners who are willing to take the time to bring their puppies through a basic training class.

Evaluations will be given throughout this six week class and a final test will be given on the last day. 

Participants will be given the opportunity to send for the official AKC certificate upon completion of the program if the puppy and participant passes all test items and attends all six classes. The cost of the certificate is $10 separate from the class and is paid directly to the AKC.

This class is for puppies age one or younger and a handler.

Children 14 and under must be supervised by an adult.
